I have uploaded these two little clips to show something I am currently working on. I am putting VHS fights of a professional boxer onto DVD with menus, as he wants to be able to view them from one source. I am using Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects to create this.
This clip will be used as part of an intro and the same technique will be used with other clips. I have not completed them yet as I am still exporting and rendering other fights, and these take a lot of time to complete.
It took me two whole days to find some decent settings that give me maximum quality and less file size but it is difficult as these have come from VHS.
I have tried two different designs, one with a sunburst and another with a flag which matches the boxers theme. These clips will form part of the DVD menu.
Any comments on this little intro would be great, I know its short the more footage I get, the more clips I can play with using this theme and technique. Any completed clips I have I will upload for any feed back.
Since completing the afks website and using Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools, I have been reading up on SEO techniques and looking into how websites can be designed and optimised for search engines. In two weeks of reading I have learnt so much I’m just lost for words. Why wasn’t we ever taught this at University? No one ever mentioned its importance!!
Having researching SEO I am now looking into new challenges. I will be looking at a re-design for this site, and will be soon re-designing an old website I created at University 3 years ago for a client. Now I have SEO knowledge I will be approaching projects in a totally different way, and I will need to look into link building these sites.
Things are starting to come together now, so its all going to get interesting. Anyone who reads this…look up SEO!!! its too important! If anyone wants any information on this, contact me.
Hey guys! First of all want to say Happy New year to everyone. Haven’t had time to say that yet LOL.
Also just want to update and say sorry to anyone using Internet Explorer 6. Just been able to work Multiple IE as it kept crashing…so before I struggled with testing on that, but now I noticed some common IE6 mistakes and needed to change a few things. Main one was the image of me! totally forgot about the PNG stuff, but fixed some margins as well and need to get the PNG fix working on Portfolio Page. All this has just confirmed my hatred of Internet Explorer 6. TIP: Download an up to date one…or use FireFox. Please…LOL
Thanks everyone for their comments on my last post! Even though my site is up and running I have already got new ideas to change the design. I will see how they go anyway. Might even upload some designs here.
Since my last post I have been designing a Web Site for a construction and joinery company and have spent some time on creating some designs and taking pictures of completed work. I will be presenting the client with the designs so that they can see my progress, in the next few days.
When it is complete I will upload them onto the Portfolio page.
